Victorians supported by AIS and Commonwealth Games Australia Funding

Gymnastics Australia recently nominated eligible Nationally Categorised athletes to the AIS for financial support under either their dAIS grants program, or on behalf of Commonwealth Games Australia for their Breakthrough2022 funding program.

The AIS has notified us that the below Victorian athletes will be awarded a funding grant for the 2021-22 financial year.

Tyson Bull (Victorian MAG High Performance Program – Dion Pocklington)
Ashari Gill (Prahran Rhythmic Gymnastics – Kateryna Logachova)
Alexandra Koroi-Bogatyreva (Prahran Rhythmic Gymnastics – Kateryna Logachova)
Emily Whitehead (Waverley Gymnastics Centre – John Hart)
Kate McDonald (CYC Gymsports – Jeb Silsbury)
Macy Pegoli (CYC Gymsports – Jeb Silsbury)

This grant is in support of their development as an athlete, progressing towards selection to compete at Pinnacle and Benchmark Events.

Gymnastics Victoria General Manager of High Performance Simon Gadsden is grateful for the support our Victorian athletes will receive.

“Congratulations to the Gymnastics Victoria clubs and coaches that continue to support all high-performance athletes in achieving their goals. Our thanks also to Gymnastics Australia for access to funding for Victorian athletes that have been identified as potential medallists at the Commonwealth Games. It will make a real difference in their preparations over the next seven months and hopefully assist them in contributing to Australia’s medal tally in Birmingham” said Simon.

Gymnastics Victoria congratulates Tyson, Ashari, Alexandra, Emily Kate, and Macy.
