2019 Victorian Sport Award Finalists 

Gymnastics Victoria is proud that our gymnastics community has been nominated for multiple Victorian Sports Awards.

Each year the Victorian Sport Awards recognise and celebrate the achievements of Victorian individual and team athletes, coaches, administrators and volunteers from both metropolitan and regional Victoria.

Gymnastics Victoria has been nominated for the Peter Norman Inclusion Award. Gymnastics Victoria has developed many inclusive programs which has led to a 39% increase in participation of underrepresented population groups in Gymnastics.

Dee Stark from Werribee Gymnastics has been nominated as Community Coach of the Year. Asides from coaching Dee is the Inclusion Coordinator at her club and manages several partnerships to provide gymnastics to people of all abilities. 

Gym4Me has been nominated for the VicHealth Active Recreation Initiative of the Year Award. The Gym4Me program empowers 12-17 year olds to take ownership over their physical activity, encouraging them to set their own goals and participate Gymnastics.

The 2019 Victorian Sport Awards will be held at Marvel Stadium on Wednesday 26 February 2020.
