Inclusion Awareness Workshop
Gymnastics Victoria is proud to offer an Inclusion Awareness Workshop for coaching staff, administrators, committees, volunteers and sporting organisations. This workshops aims to raise awareness around working with individuals from underrepresented groups; including older adults, people with disability, new arrived migrants and refugees and Aboriginal Australians. Participants will learn practical skills and strategies to modify activities to include all participants. This practical 2 hour workshop is fun, interactive and run at a time which is convenient for your organisation!

Managing Inclusion in Gymnastics
Managing Inclusion in Gymnastics is an online professional development opportunity provided by Gymnastics Australia. The course focuses on providing inclusive experiences in gymnastics for participants with disability. Employing common sense, good coaching practice and innovation can ensure an enjoyable and safe gymnastics experience for everybody. This course can be accessed via the Learning Management System (LMS).
Play by the Rules
Additional professional development opportunities are available as online courses through the Australian Sports Commission. Each course is short and user-friendly, addressing topics such as Child Protection and Harassment & Discrimination. Updating points are available for Gymnastics Australia technical members who complete these courses. Access the courses here.
Club Guide to Good Access
Gymnastics Victoria and Hands on Community Solutions are proud to offer a guide for clubs seeking to improve their physical access and communication. This guide provides an understanding of the best practice and legal standards around facility accessibility. Access the guide here.
Gymnastics Victoria has partnered with Scope and EPIC Early Children Intervention Service to develop communication resources for clubs. These communication tools can assist people who are either non-verbal or have speech which may be difficult to understanding. These tools are commonly used for people with disability, but may also be useful with language barriers. Our plain language resources provide a guide for communicating effectively with a broader range of the community.

Gymnastics Victoria has developed a template to support clubs in gaining all of the information necessary to deliver a positive experience in gymnastics. Gymnastics for Everybody
In partnership with VicHealth, Gymnastics Victoria has created a ‘Gymnastics for Everybody’ poster series to aid clubs in the promotion of inclusion.
