Independent Member on Gymnastics Victoria's Finance and Risk Committee
Expressions of Interest are invited for the position of Independent Member on Gymnastics Victoria's Finance and Risk Committee.
Gymnastics Victoria is a leading State Sporting Association, and the governing body for gymnastics in Victoria. As the third highest participation sport in Victoria for children under 12, and with a coach and judge workforce of more than 2500, gymnastics in Victoria is a strong industry that develops essential early years foundation skills and provides pathways for athletes through seven Gymsports.
In addition to skills in finance, business, and stakeholder engagement, the successful candidate will have extensive experience in leading the operations of community gymnastics clubs.
Technical skills in the financial operating models and strategic risk management profiles of gymnastics clubs will be highly valued.
This is a new and voluntary position, the term of which is until June 2022 - with the possibility of re-appointment.
Gymnastics Victoria values inclusion and diversity and promotes a child safe, child friendly environment. The successful applicant will be required to undergo child safe screening processes and will be supported through an induction process.

The most important factor to consider when selecting a gymnastics program for yourself and/or your children is to ensure that the club is affiliated (and therefore meets the required minimum safety and insurance standards) and the coach taking the lessons is Accredited and a current Technical Member (therefore having undertaken appropriate training to ensure the required knowledge and expertise).
