Kyra is the Athlete of the Month for February! Kyra is a gymnast at Jets Gymnastics and has been involved in the sport for 7 years. She started off in KinderGym and has worked her way up to competitive gymnastics.
Kyra has been nominated for her dedication to gymnastics, and her inspiring strength and perseverance to never give up.
Kyra has had some great results in the past few months, finishing first overall at the WAG Eclipse Invitational and the Casey Invitational, second overall at the Jets Invitational and third on beam and fifth overall in the Regional Championships.
Kyra had a nasty fall on bars and has since had a mental block affecting her back tumbling. She has openly talked about this with her peers and others who are having the same experience. Kyra has been helping the wider community of gymnasts by sharing her experience and coming up with strategies that have helped her overcome her mental block. In this sense, Kyra is a supportive role model for her peers and younger gymnasts.
Kyra is caring supportive and respectful towards others. She loves helping other gymnasts to succeed and also helps other gymnasts overcome challenges not only in her own club but in the wider community. Her determination and gorgeous nature towards gymnastics and her peers is truly amazing. Kyra demonstrates strong training ethics and amazing sportsmanship.
Keep up the great work Kyra!
