Men’s and Women’s Victorian Championships Wrap Up

The Men’s and Women’s Victorian Gymnastics Championships were held at Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre from Friday 27 until Sunday 29 April featuring impressive displays of Artistic Gymnastics.

With eight Women’s Artistic Gymnastics sessions including athletes from Levels 7, 8, 9 and 10 as well as Future, Junior and Senior International plus the National Levels Spectacular the MSAC Show Court was a dazzling mix of Vault, Uneven Bars, Beam and Floor routines.

In their own arena our Men’s Artistic Gymnasts hit new heights across six sessions with athletes from Levels 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and Senior International impressing audiences as they rotated through Vault, Rings, Pommel Horse, High Bar, Parallel Bars and Floor.

A highlight of the weekend was the National Levels Spectacular on Sunday which featured Women’s Artistic Gymnasts from Level 9 and 10 competing in teams. There is more of a relaxed atmosphere, a bit like a US college Gymnastics competition, with plenty of colourful costuming additions and cheering for teammates. The team from Waverley Gymnastics Centre were the overall winners followed by MLC Gymnastics in second place and MYC Gymnastics in third place.

There were plenty of fantastic performances across the three days and you can view the All-Around, Apparatus and Team results below.
