Gymnastics Australia - Positions Vacant - Elected Director

Gymnastics Australia (GA) is the National governing body for Gymnastics within Australia.

With a mission is to promote, develop and grow Gymnastics for the enjoyment of all and as a result has achieved 15 years of consecutive growth in membership. GA encompasses eight gymsports comprising women’s and men’s artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, trampoline gymnastics, aerobic gymnastics, acrobatic gymnastics, gymnastics for all and cheerleading.

Gymnastics provides opportunities for all Australians, from learning the fundamentals of movement at a grass roots and local level, through to opportunities of high performing athletes to excel at Olympic and Commonwealth Game levels.

GA has a strong relationship with the Australian Sports Commission, various high performance institutes and a commitment and involvement in partnering with the state and territory organisations across Australia.

The GA Board has a commitment to best practice through governance and is currently seeking applications for suitably qualified individuals to fill three (3) voluntary Gymnastics Australia Board vacancies.

Closing Date: Friday 24th March

Selection process: Applications will be reviewed by the GA Nominations Committee which comprises of 1 GA Board member, one (1) State Representative (as appointed by the state associations) and an independent HR representative. Interviews will take place in early May. The Nominations Committee will then submit their preferred applicant(s) to the Board who will make the appointment.
