Communication of Outcomes Online Forum - 9 June 2021
The WAG Technical Committee (WAG TC) would like to thank everyone who attended and provided feedback during the online forum on 9 June 2021.
This communication serves to inform the WAG community on the outcomes from that meeting.
Changing Levels
WAG coaches are reminded that there is opportunity to enter gymnasts in different levels/divisions to those they've competed at in the past, and that the coach is best placed to make that decision.
If a gymnast wishes to compete at a lower level than they have previously competed because they have had time away from the sport, this is permitted as noted in section 7.1.1 of the Technical Information and Events Handbook. If this is not applicable but as the coach you feel it is appropriate, simply notify the WAG Technical Committee by emailing GV.
If a gymnast wishes to change division, this is permitted, unless they competed in a Trial event in a higher division (refer section 11.4.6), in which case permission should be obtained from the WAG TC.
